Business Source Premier provides nearly 8,350 full text scholarly publications, including nearly 1,100 peer-reviewed journals. This database offers information in nearly every area of business including management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, SWOT, and more.

Content Majority is full text. Covers academic journals, country economic reports, and company profiles.

Strengths Can be searched simultaneously with the other EBSCO multidisciplinary databases. Company Profiles heading provides detailed profiles on 10,000 companies, 600 companies contain a SWOT analysis.

Weaknesses Some special features are not easy to find.
General Business Search Tips Example: Find articles dealing with accounting ethics.

Enter appropriate keywords in the search boxes. Ex. (accounting or auditing) and ethics
Click on Search. From All Results listing select desired type of publication by clicking on Academic Journals or Trade Publications or Magazines.

For additional search terms, click on Thesaurus and browse terms.
Examples : For audit guides, use "Auditing procedures" in Subject field.

Industry Research Search Tips Example: Find information on bankruptcies in the airline industry.

Enter appropriate keywords in the search box. Ex. Airlines and bankrupt*
Click on Search. From All Results listing select desired type of publication by clicking on Academic Journals or Trade Publications, or SWOT Analysis, etc.

For a specific industry, select IC NAICS_Code_or_description from drop box and enter industry keyword or NAICS code.

For additional search terms, click on Thesaurus and browse terms.
Examples : Use subject terms like "Manufactures" or "Service industries" in Subject field.

Company Research Search Tips Example: Find information on Microsoft

For articles on a specific company, type name of company into search box. Click on Search. From All Results listing select desired type of publication by clicking on Company Profile or Academic Journals or Trade Publications or SWOT Analysis.

For additional search terms, click on Thesaurus and browse terms.
Examples : Use subject terms like "Corporation reports" or "Private companies" in Subject field.

Product Research Search Tips Example: Gatorade market share

Enter appropriate keywords in the search box. Click on Search. Ex. Gatorade and market share
From All Results listing select desired type of publication by clicking on Academic Journals or Trade Publications.

For a specific product, select PS Products from drop box and enter product name.

For additional search terms, click on Thesaurus and browse terms.
Examples : Use subject terms like "Brand name products" or "Product management" in Subject field.

Geographic Information
Search Tips		 For a specific geographic region, select GE Geographic_Terms from drop box and enter geographic name.

For additional search terms, click on Thesaurus and browse terms.
Examples : Use subject terms like "Developing countries" or "Emerging markets" in Subject field.

Biographic Information
Search Tips		 For articles on a person, select PE People field from drop box and enter person’s name. Click on Search.

Boolean AND, OR, NOT

Proximity W# (# is a number)
Explanation : These words separated by # or less in this order.
Example : Tax W2 Policy finds "Tax reform policy".

N# (# is a number)
Explanation : These words separated by # or less in any order.
Example : Tax N2 Policy finds "the EU policy of Tax Reform".
Truncation TRUNCATION : *
Explanation : "*" is used as a right-handed truncator only; it will find all forms of a word.
Example : Econom* Finds "economy', "economics", economical" etc.

WILDCARD : ?
Explanation : "?" is used to replace any single character.
Example : Wom?n finds "woman", "women"
